Samaritan members received a pleasant surprise with their November share slips, there was a 5% reduction in share amounts because there were fewer needs and excess money available! Yay! When that happens members get a reduction that month. It’s a unique benefit that only Samaritan offers. It is further motivation for us to keep medical costs as low as possible by making smart treatment decisions, asking for cash discounts and continuing to be diligent with our prayers for God’s provision.

My heart aches for those who are suffering under the weight of crushing health insurance premiums. Many people are facing increases they cannot pay and are desperately looking for something else. I remember that feeling and I hope that those in need will be led to learn about Samaritan and health care sharing. It’s a leap of faith to step out into something different, but we quickly learn we are leaping away from crumbling rocks and onto solid ground. Samaritan is firmly rooted in Christ and the members are actively sharing in the medical bills of those in need. And we know that when/if we have our own needs the members will be there for us, too.
